Remote learning

Remote learning

As you are probably aware, the cases of Covid 19 have been rising. Local and national measures are now in place to tackle the virus spread and these are reviewed regularly.

Local authorities and academy trusts across the country have been working closely with the Department for Education to ensure that an online learning strategy is in place for all school age pupils during lockdown.

We have produced this Remote Learning Overview which is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils and parents or carers about what to expect from remote education where national or local restrictions require entire cohorts (or bubbles) to remain at home.

For details of what to expect where individual pupils are self-isolating, please see the final section of the document.

At Baldersby St James we strive to foster a love of learning through the deliverance of a broad and balanced curriculum. During the current pandemic and lockdown restrictions this is a challenge but one we are rising to. Our school values of perseverance, respect, community and hope are all reflected in our online offer. We will, as a whole school, do our very best to support our children, families and community through these challenging times.
